Prada Caffé & Gelateria

Harrods, London 2023-24

The Prada Caffé and Gelateria at Harrods was a luxurious collaboration designed to merge high-end dining with fashion. The project included a sophisticated café, a façade extension, and a stylish ice cream kiosk, offering a unique space for visitors to enjoy curated food and beverages in an environment reflecting Prada’s signature style.

My Role Technical Designer, Project Managing & Production Managing

The Project

As the sole technical designer for the project, I was responsible for conducting site surveys and measurements. I carefully selected materials and manufacturing techniques, prioritising long-lasting durability while maintaining the project's aesthetic integrity.

Over the course of four days, I oversaw the installation, ensuring that each component was installed safely and securely, with particular attention to the constraints of Harrods' listed building status. I assessed the structure, utilising existing fixings and rigging techniques where possible to avoid new holes, relying on ledges and ballast for secure attachment.
